The panda chalico (Ailurotherium asiaticus) is a bamboo-eating chalicothere that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii and introduced to the Chinese bamboo forests to help boost biodiversity. The panda chalico has a thick and strong jaw with strong molars to help the panda chalico to crush and chew onto bamboo in a manner similar to true pandas. Like pandas, panda chalicos are able to sit down on their bottoms in a similar manner due to specialized legs and torsos to allow an upright sitting position while eating, without having to waste much energy by standing while eating, while doing so, it resembles a humanoid at first glance. The panda chalico is a solitary animal in most of its life, except during breeding seasons when males must find females to mate with to ensure the species' further survival. The conservation status of the panda chalico is Vulnerable due to some habitat loss and historic poaching, however, thanks to conservationists, the populations of the panda chalicos in the wild are recovering.
