American brushfinch (SciiFii)

The American brushfinch (Atlapetes floridanus) is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii and introduced throughout the rainforests, wetlands, forests, and open woodlands across North America to help boost biodiversity. The American brushfinch is dingy yellow below and dark brownish above with a red crown. Both sexes are similar in appearance. The American brushfinch is a rather small bird, growing on average of about 18 centimeters (7 inches) in length. As an omnivore, the American brushfinch primarily feeds on insects, seeds, and fruits. American brushfinches normally move around quickly inside dense tangles of brush and trees, with occasional visits to more exposed positions. They have been observed foraging, mainly close to the ground (<10m), as single birds, in pairs, and in what appear to be small family groups. The American brushfinch's breeding takes place in the March/April period. The conservation status of the American brushfinch is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the American brushfinch's wide range and its tolerance to many of the human activities.
