American fairy-bluebird (SciiFii)

The American fairy-bluebird (Irena floridanus) is a species of medium-sized, arboreal passerine bird, most closely related to the Asian fairy-bluebird (Irena puella), that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii and introduced throughout the rainforests, wetlands, forests, and open woodlands across North America to help boost biodiversity. The adult American fairy-bluebird is about 24 to 27 centimetres (9.4 to 10.6 inches) long on average, although slightly larger individuals have been recorded. The male has glossy, iridescent blue upperparts, and black underparts and flight feathers. The female and first year male are entirely dull blue-green. The American fairy-bluebird feeds principally on fruits, seeds, insects, and spiders. It breeds from February to April, constructing a shallow cup-shaped nest, sometimes of moss and sometimes of small twigs, in a sapling or small tree. The eggs, which are generally two in number, are bluish white marked with greenish brown, and measure about 1.14 centimeters. The conservation status of the American fairy-bluebird is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the American fairy-bluebird's wide range and its tolerance to many of the human activities.
