American megastick (SciiFii)

The American megastick (Phobaeticus americanum) is a species of stick insect, most closely related to the Chan's megastick (Phobaeticus chani) of Malaysia, that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii and introduced throughout the rainforests, wetlands, forests, open woodlands, and wooded shrublands across North America and South America to help boost biodiversity. The American megastick is one of the longest modern-styled insects in the world, measuring 567 mm (22.3 inches) with its front legs fully extended, and its alone still measures an impressive 357 mm (14.1 inches). Like its relatives, the American megastick is a herbivore and feeds primarily on fruits and leaves of various plant species. The female American megasticks lay 90-120 eggs individually and fling them in to the air where they land on the ground and hatch in the soil. The eggs hatch around 4 months later and they become sexually mature around a year later. The average lifespan of the American megastick is between 2 and 3 years, however, some individuals have been known to live almost 6 years. The conservation status of the American megastick is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the American megastick's wide range and its tolerance to many of the human activities.
