A bulbasaur (Vegetosaurus pokevus) is a species of medium dog-sized non-mammal synapsid that originally did not exist, but as since been created by SciiFii due to a demand of real life Pokémon-like animals from Pokémon fans. However, some were released into the wilderness throughout North America, South America, Eurasia, and Africa due to pet releases by careless pet owners. The bulbasaur is an omnivore that primarily feeds on fruits, leaves, roots, tubers, grasses, vegetables, fungi, and insects. Unlike most vertebrates, it has a bulb growing on its back, even when first born after hatching, due to SciiFii's complex genetic tweaking and inserting some plant genes to allow a plant to grow on its back. The plant growing on its back helps make the animal toxic to most predators except humans, cats, dogs, or several mustelids/mongooses. The bulbasaur is a highly vocal animal that normally makes high-pitched squeaks and squeals that are almost identical to the noises made by the fictionalized bulbasaurs from Detective Pikachu (2019 film). The bulbasaurs are highly-social animals that can live in herds up to around 50-75 at a time, despite being somewhat small animals. The conservation status of the bulbasaurs is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the bulbasaur's wide range, and its tolerance to most of human activities, allowing it to survive and adapt to life in the cities and suburbs.
