Clefable (SciiFii)

The clefable (Thylaconeraida pokevus) is a species of koala that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to demands for real life Pokémon-like animals from Pokémon fans, and unlike common koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), its closest relative, it makes a good pet due to its varied plant diet, its immunity to various illnesses, and its docile/tame nature. However, due to careless pet owners releasing clefables to the wilderness, the flourishing feral populations of clefables can now be found throughout Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and North America. It is easily recognizable from common koalas by its long fluffy tail, tall hair-crests sticking out of its back, and its bright pink colors. The males are larger than females, which are normally known as the clefairies. The clefable males can grow to be about the size of a large maine coon, larger than the average-sized common koala. The clefables are mainly found in rainforests, swamps, forests, and open woodlands, where they feed on a wide range of plant leaves, including eucalyptus leaves, ficus leaves, mulberry leaves, spruce leaves, oak leaves, and among other leaves. Clefables are asocial animals, and bonding exists only between mothers and dependent offspring. Adult males communicate with loud bellows that intimidate rivals and attract mates. Males mark their presence with secretions from scent glands located on their chests. Being marsupials, clefables give birth to underdeveloped young that crawl into their mothers' pouches, where they stay for the first six to seven months of their lives. These young clefables, known as joeys or cleffas, are fully weaned around a year old. Clefables have few natural predators and parasites, and unlike common koalas, they are completely immune to various pathogens such as Chlamydiaceae bacteria and the koala retrovirus, making them safer than common koalas. The conservation status of a clefable is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the clefable's wide range, and its tolerance to most of human activities, including being able to flourish and adapt to life in the cities and suburbs.
