A deoxys squid (Deoxysoteuthis tyrannis) is not a cephalopod, despite its name, instead, it is a cephalopod-like creature that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii using squids and octopuses as bases, using worm DNA to make it more closely related to annelids than cephalopods, and modified its organs to help it fly instead of swimming unlike true cephalopods. It is an air-breather, using its lungs similar to reptiles, birds, and mammals to help breathe in oxygen to stay alive. It is a carnivore that primarily feeds on birds and insects, but can occasionally prey on small reptiles and mammals to supplement its diet. It has a aerodynamic body design, allowing it to hunt its prey at super-fast speed, its eyes are as sharp as those of an eagle's eyes in order for it to see its prey and potential danger. When snatching its prey, it uses its six tentacles to wrap around its victims and crushes its prey with its cephalopod-like strong beak located underneath its body much like those of true cephalopods. It can fly with the help of its wing-like appendages and a liver-like organ filled with hydrogen to keep the animal floating when it is alive. When it is about to rest or sleep, it can simply temporarily shut down its hydrogen-filled liver-like organ and the animal usually rests/sleeps in trees, rooftops, cables, etc. The deoxys squid can grow to be around 8 feet long in males and about 350 pounds while females can grow to be about 9.5 feet long as well as weighing around 500-600 pounds. The deoxys is a long-lived animal that can live to be 75 years in the wild and around 150-175 years in captivity. The deoxys squid is a solitary animal in most of its life except during breeding seasons when males and females congregate in large groups. Unlike cephalopods, the deoxys squid is a slow breeder that usually lays around 50 purple egg at a time (often mistaken for purple orbs by some humans) and doesn't die from egg laying, so it can lay around 250 eggs in the wild and around 800 eggs in captivity (both in its lifetime). Just like tardigrades, deoxys squids can survive in hostile environments, even in outer space (due to being tolerant to lack of oxygen, radiations, etc), their eggs can even be transported both in an onto asteroids, spaceships, etc to help their species spread to other hospitable Earth-like planets. The conservation status of the deoxys squid is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the deoxys squid's wide range across the entire world (except the Arctic or Antarctica), and its ability to tolerate human actvities, allowing it to adapt to life in the cities and suburbs.
