Dippersaurus pinecus (name meaning "Dipper Pine's lizard") is a species of non-avian carnivorous theropod dinosaur, belonging to the Megalosauroidea and most closely related to Marshosaurus, that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to demand for more unique original species as pets and zoo animals. During the species' creation, Dippersaurus pinecus was inspired by Trey the Explainer's original character, which was, in turn, inspired by the fictional character, Dipper Pine from Gravity Falls, due to the species' coloration. Dippersaurus pinecus is a rather small megalosaurid theropod, with the average length of 3 meters (10 feet) and its weight at 150 kilograms (330 lb). Male Dippersaurus pinecus have more elaborate fleshy crests and colors than the females, which pack the head crests and only have dull brown scales. Dippersaurus pinecus is an opportunistic predator and scavenger, preying on a wide array of animals smaller than itself and also scavenges on carcasses of any animal it can find. Despite this, Dippersaurus pinecus does not prey on humans or domestic animals, most likely due to genetic tampering, to help the animal be accepted by the pet and zoo communities. Dippersaurus pinecus is a solitary animal throughout most of its life except during the breeding seasons. Dippersaurus pinecus is a very tame and bold animal, being bred as a friendly, affectionate species that never attacks people.
