The domestic dodo (Raphus cucullatus familiaris or Raphus familiaris) is a species of flightless pigeon that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to demands for dodos as pets. The domestic dodo is most closely related to the pure wild dodo (Raphus cucullatus). Unlike wild dodos, however, the domestic dodos are much more adaptable to a wider range of habitats and can feed on a wider assortment of vegetation. Like wild dodos, the domestic dodos are not dimwitted birds as pop culture shows, but are about as smart as flying pigeons. There are more than 200 breeds of domestic dodos that are bred across the world, ranging from about the size of a mallard duck to the largest breeds that are about the size of an emu. The domestic dodo is one of the most popular non-parrot birds as pets, due to being easy to keep, train, and care for, as well as being able to breed extremely well in captivity.
