The domestic hyena (Crocuta crocuta domestica), also known as the house hyena, is a subspecies of spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to demands for more kinds of large pets. The domestic hyena can be distinguished from its wild ancestors by is slightly smaller, weaker jaw, as well as floppy ears in many domestic hyena breeds, and varied fur length and coloration depending on a breed. The domestic hyena breeds range in size from terrier-sized breeds to the largest breeds about the size of a large wild spotted hyena. Just like other domestic animals, the domestic hyenas are very loyal, docile, and affectionate towards their owners. The domestic hyena is among the most popular domestic mammals (re)created by SciiFii due to hyenas becoming popular with many people, even going as far as to being alternatives to guide dogs and sheepdogs due to their boldness and intelligence greater than any domestic dog breed.
