Majungasaurus fuscus (name meaning "Brown Mahajanga lizard"), also known as the brown bogeyman, is a species of non-avian predatory abelisaurid theropod dinosaur that originally lived during the Late Cretaceous Period (Maastrichtian) of what is now Madagascar as an extinct species, Majungasaurus crenatissimus, and was once extinct, but has since been brought back from extinction by NuGen and, unlike most carnivorous non-avian dinosaurs, have been intentionally introduced throughout the modern Madagascar to help boost biodiversity. Majungasaurus fuscus is a bipedal carnivore that usually reaches about 26.2 feet (8 metres) in length, and it primarily feeds on fish, frogs, lizards, snakes, crocodilians, other non-avian dinosaurs, birds, small-to-medium-sized mammals, and carrion. Majungasaurus fuscus is a solitary animal that usually spends throughout most of its life alone except during the breeding seasons. The conservation status of Majungasaurus fuscus is Vulnerable due to some habitat loss and persecution, however, thanks to the conservationists, Majungasaurus fuscus is a protected species.
