The Molossian hound, also known as the Molossus and the Epirus mastiff, is a breed of dog that was originally bred from Ancient Greece, used to fight tigers, lion, elephants, and human men in battle and used by Molossian shepherds of Epirus in the mountains of northwestern Greece to guard their sheep flocks, and the breed was once extinct, but has since been brought back from extinction by SciiFii due to demand for more de-extincted dog breeds as common household pets. The Molossian hound is a large-sized dog breed with a muscular and strong physique, and with a short, wide muzzle and a heavy dewlap (similar to other Mastiff breeds). The Molossian hound is a hard-working, energetic, and a fierce big dog, however, the specimens living in many homes with families have shown friendly, affectionate, and loyal behavior.
