Raichu

A raichu (Flavucaudarattus pokevus) is a species of large rabbit-sized bipedal kangaroo rat that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to the demand from Pokémon fans who want Pokémon-like animals as pets. However, some pet owners have released them into the wilderness throughout North America and Japan, where they are, by all accounts, thriving. The raichus are about the size of a Flemish giant rabbit, with the weight of around 6.8 kilograms (15 lb) on average, though the biggest ones can weigh up to 10 kilograms (22 lb), and the longest one on record (in fact, holding the record for the longest raichu in the world), measured about 1.6 metres (5 feet 2 in) long. Unlike pikachus, raichus are mostly solitary animals yet are far less aggressive to other raichus than pikachus are to other pikachus. Like most kangaroo rats, raichus hop quickly in order to escape from predators, and their hops can often reach 9 feet at speeds of about 15 miles per hour. They can quickly change direction between jumps. The rapid locomotion of raichus may minimize energy cost and predation risk. Its use of a "move-freeze" mode may also make it less conspicuous to nocturnal predators. Like other kangaroo rats, raichus will often make burrows to shelter during the day, only to wake up at night, looking for water as well as various kinds of edible food. They are primarily seed eaters, however, they can also eat vegetation occasionally, and at some times of the year, possibly insects and smaller vertebrates (including lizards and small rodents) as well. Just like pikachus, raichus, when agitated, will use their yellow cheek pouches to create small electric shocks to scare off predators. The conservation status of the raichu is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts and the raichu's wide range.
