A sandshrew (Manis pokevus), also, more accurately, known as the sand pangolin, is a species of pangolin that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to demands for real life Pokémon-like animals from Pokémon fans, and unlike most other pangolins, sandshrews make good pets as they are docile, tame, and easy to care for (due to the sandshrew's varied diet, simple grooming, immunity to every illnesses, etc). However, due to careless pet owners releasing sandshrews into the wilderness, the sandshrews can now be found throughout the rainforests, swamps, forests, open woodlands, grasslands, scrublands, and deserts of Japan, Africa, North America, and South America. The sandshrew is a medium-sized animals that usually grows to be about the size of a German shepherd, but individuals growing to be great dane-sized are not uncommon. This pangolin is a very adaptable pangolin that feeds on a wide range of food sources, including fruits, roots, tubers, insects, spiders, scorpions, frogs, small lizards, carrion, and eggs, in cities and suburbs it has added cat food and dog food to its diet. The sandshrew is a solitary animal in most of its life, except during breeding seasons or if it's a caring mother of around 3-5 offspring. The conservation status of the sandshrew is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the sandshrew's wide range, and its tolerance to most of human activities, including being able to flourish and adapt to life in the cities and suburbs.
