Scooby's Dane is a breed of domestic dog that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii due to commissions and demands for a breed of dog that resembles the fictional cartoon character, Scooby-Doo, hence its name. The Scooby's Dane is a large Great Dane-sized breed of domestic dog, with the average shoulder height of between 76–90 centimeters (30–35 inches) and weighing around 120 lb (54 kg). The Scooby's Dane comes in several color variations, depending on the individual, including brown with black spots (the most famous color for the breed), purely brown, reddish-brown, brown-and-grey, black-and-brown, greyish-brown, gray, black, white, black-and-grey, and black-and-white. Scooby's Danes are very long-lived dogs, living to be around 19 and 23 years in age. Scooby's Danes, like most giant dogs, have a faster metabolism. This results in more energy and food consumption per pound of dog than in small breeds. They, however, have far fewer health problems common to other large breeds, including bloat (gastric dilatation volvulus), most likely due to genetic engineering. Prized for the breed's intelligence and playful, gentle personality, the Scooby's Dane is often cited as having "cuddy" characteristics.
