The venusaur (Gigantavegetosaurus pokevus), sometimes known as the common venusaur, is a species of large cow-sized non-mammal synapsid that originally did not exist, but as since been created by SciiFii due to a demand of real life Pokémon-like animals from Pokémon fans. However, some were released into the wilderness throughout North America, South America, Eurasia, and Africa due to pet releases by careless pet owners. The venusaur is a complete herbivore, primarily feeding on fruits, leaves, roots, tubers, grasses, and vegetables. Unlike most vertebrates, it has a bulb growing on its back, even when first born after hatching, due to SciiFii's complex genetic tweaking and inserting some plant genes to allow a plant to grow on its back. The plant growing on its back helps make the animal toxic to most predators except humans, domestic cats, wild cats, dogs, bears, or hyenas. The venusaur is a highly vocal animal that makes grunts, growls, and roars similar to large bovids including domestic cattle. The venusaurs are highly-social animals that can live in herds up to around 50-75 at a time. The conservation status of the venusaurs is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the venusaur's wide range, and its tolerance to most of human activities, allowing it to survive and adapt to life in the cities and suburbs.
