The violet darkfly (Diaethria Channelana), also known as the grimhilde, is a species of butterfly of the genus Diaethria of the family Nymphalidae that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii and introduced throughout all of Channel Islands to help boost biodiversity. The wingspan of the violet darkfly is usually around 40–46 millimetres on average. The violet darkfly larvae feeds on a wide range of available leafy vegetation, while the adults feed on nectar of a wide variety of plants.
